Wyncity wyn again at Dunn Shield
WYNCITY Keon Park teams competed at the Dunn Shield on the weekend at Frankston Bowl and it proved a very high scoring and fruitful outing for them.
14 Mens teams and 14 ladies teams competed for the Dunn Shield Mens, Ladies & Combined Shields.
Keon Park men were defending champions. They knocked down more pins than any other team in the competition and proved too strong and won back to back titles! A great effort by the men. Taylor Cummins averaged a whopping 229 and made the All Star Team. (All Star Team is the Top 5 averages)
The ladies faired pretty well also finishing a commendable 4th in a very competitive ladies competition. Shout out to Sarah Minehan and Sarah Phillips who averaged 214 & 212 respectively.
WYNCITY Keon Park finished 2nd Overall – a great effort by the bowlers proving that Keon Park continues its strong tradition of having strong bowlers who call Keon Park their home.
There were also 3 x 300 games bowled during the tournament.
Incredibly 2 in the same game in the same team! The young junior team representing TBAV, William Zaccaria and Trent McDougal.
Then one in the penultimate game of the tournament by Kevin McRae, with someone bowling a 299 game in this game also.
The pins were the losers. The Bowlers the winners!
Well done to all.
