What an amazing week it has been at Wyncity Keon Park! The East Coast Challenge Cup (ECCC) exceeded expectations on many levels, bringing together the best bowlers from Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. With state teams competing across Open, Graded, and Senior divisions, the venue was packed for a week filled with thrilling matches and exceptional sportsmanship. Wyncity Keon Park was honored to host such a prestigious event, and the competition was truly outstanding.
Event Summary:
- Teams from Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria competed in various categories, making the ECCC one of the most anticipated events on the bowling calendar.
- Competitions were held for Open Men and Ladies, Graded Men and Ladies, as well as Senior Men and Ladies divisions, alongside under 21's Open and Graded divisions.
- The matches were intense, and the atmosphere at Wyncity was electric as spectators cheered on their favorite teams and individual athletes.
Every single day of the 8-day event was full on for both bowlers and spectators, with the entire east-coasts worth of great matches, strikes and company. Sarah Minehan, one of the standout performers of the tournament, praised Wyncity Keon Park for their exceptional event management, saying: “Wyncity Keon Park Bowl had this week run the best tournament I’ve seen since bowling ECCC. So to Warren Stewart, Melissa Negrin, and all the staff and mechanics on shift, you all deserve a pat on the back!”
